The Kansas City Chiefs will host the AFC West rival San Diego Chargers in a Week 12 matchup on Sunday. Kansas City is 9-1, having lost its first game of the season to the rival Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Broncos bested the Chiefs by a score of 27-17.
Nobody expected the Chiefs to pull off nine consecutive wins, regardless. The Chargers were expected to compete with Denver more than the Chiefs, but San Diego is currently 4-6 and in third place within the division. The Chargers are also riding a three-game losing skid, falling to the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins (most recently) and the aforementioned Broncos.
None of SB Nation’s six NFL experts think the Chiefs are likely to lose consecutive games, though. All six on the panel chose the Chiefs to win. The panel consists of Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman, Jason Chilton, Stephen White, David Fucillo and Matt Ufford. All eight of the experts at CBS Sports — including names like Pete Prisco and Jason La Canfora — concur, and believe the Chiefs have this one all lumped up.
Nick Foles gets a lot of credit, and rightfully so — but LeSean McCoy has been unbelievable this season and largely overlooked with the depth of talent at quarterback in 2017. After 11 games he has run for 1,009 yards, added another 399 receiving yards and a total of six touchdowns. It’s possible he’ll finish with over 2,000 all-purpose yards, and should be considered among the best offensive players in the NFL.
The Washington Redskins need to better support Robert Griffin III.
