Unrestricted free agent and former Los Angeles Rams safety T.J. McDonald has been suspended without pay for the first eight games of the 2017 regular season.
McDonald, 26, violated the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
The discipline stemmed from a May 2016 arrest in Woodland Hills, California. McDonald, a former collegiate star at Southern California, was suspected of driving under the Quality Cheap Jerseys influence of prescription drugs and pleaded no contest in January to one charge of “wet reckless” from that incident.
In its notice to fans, the team said: “We have spent the past week speaking with Greg directly and with many of his former teammates and coaches. After hours of deliberation and debate, Screaming Eagles ownership, management and coaches are in unanimous agreement that we will support Greg joining the team under one condition — that our fans vote to allow him.”
The vote closed at 1 a.m. ET Thursday. It wasn’t clear what the tie result would mean for Hardy’s chances with the team.
A person with knowledge of the team’s discussions with Hardy told ESPN’s Darren Rovell that if the fans supported his addition, Hardy would be activated immediately and play in Friday’s game against the Colorado Crush at the Maverick Center in West Valley City, Utah.
Hardy, 28, played five seasons for the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Penguins Cheap Jerseys had 15 sacks for the team in 2013, when he was picked for the Pro Bowl.
